Having Fun With Art & Science

GrandNannies love to involve children in art activities, scientific exploration, reading and singing. We combine learning and enjoyment in all kinds of creative ways.

With toddlers, we encourage water and sandbox play, and we engage older children in art projects from drawing to making playdough. Some GrandNannies are especially fond of nature, and they introduce youngsters to the wonders of birds, butterflies and other animals.

When GrandNannies read to children, it's an active process. We use animated voices to make book characters come alive, and we ask questions so our young listeners get more involved in each story.

All in all, a day with a GrandNanny is a day of fun!

Short-Notice Sitters

Finding child care on short notice can be a challenge -- but not with GrandNannies! If I'm not available to baby sit, I'm happy to call other GrandNannies to see whether they're free. We often can meet your needs even at the last minute.

The same principle applies to longer-term positions. In the past, I wasn't able to take a certain job but I introduced another GrandNanny to a mother who was looking for care. That was 18 months ago, and the mom, child and nanny have had a wonderful ongoing relationship ever since!
